File Under "Disturbing"

As I was watching the movie, "Home Alone 3", (what a sacrifice that was!) I realized that I had seen the mom in another movie but couldn't put my finger on it. DING! (lightbulb went on) She's the hot cheerleader chick in the 80's movie, Sixteen Candles! It's Haviland Morris! Disturbing.

no, disturbing would have been if you had recognized her from an x-rated film...

I disagree with both. Disturbing is that you agreed to watch it at all.

Isn't that the one with the kid whose hair you are just itching to cut the whole time? If it isn't, you know the long shaggy bob favored in Hollywood for obnoxious boy actors. Blech.

I had to follow your link. (Some day I WILL learn HTML!)

Disturbing is Haviland Morriss' career. She has a Gremlin and a Home Alone sequel on her resume and not a lot more. Things probably looked so bright back when she was playing a drunk, popular girl. Who knew!

I am going to give her the benefit of the doubt and consider she did a lot of work in theater.

Lol! I have never seen her in anything else after Sixteen Candles. Trippy!

P.S. Alison is dead-on with the 'long shaggy bob' comment. Eric and I refer to it as the 'Prince Valiant' or 'Little Dutch Boy' cut. Almost as bad as the dreaded mullet.

Yes, Alison, it's the one with that kids. I agree that all boys should have short hair that doesn't swing around too much - but then again, I was raised by a Marine that kept a regulation hair cut for as long as I can remember, so I really can't tolerate anything longer than the #1 clipper :)! I'll say this: it was a pretty cute movie, and I love seeing the stupid bad guys set off all of the obnoxious shaggy-bob boy's traps. Sally and Samuel LOVED it. We had a nice discussion about when it is ok to hurt someone (you know, "bad guys trying to get you", that thing). Poor Haviland Morris - did you know that she is a redhead, and they made her wear a wig in sixteen candles? It's true.

couldn't have her outshining the lovely ms.ringwald, could we now?

The funny thing is my own C. Riley is (after years and years of sporting it high and tight) wearing his hair rather long. It is really more longish, it doesn't swing you just can't see the scar on his head from his surgery. But he doesn't need a head band.
