Three Things Thursday

Happy Thanksgiving! In honor of the holiday, my three things are the three things I am most thankful for this year.

(1) I am thankful for God, the creator of the universe, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God who pursued me at an early age and did not let me go, for God who sent his Son to be the Savior of mankind.

(2) I am thankful for my family, for my husband who is still my best friend and can always make me laugh, for my daughter who delights my heart, for my son who melts my heart. I am thankful for my extended family, who are too numerous to name, but you know who you are.

(3) I am thankful for my friends, who know me and love me, who have seen my house clean and dirty and still like to come over, who give me good advice, watch my kids, and love to make me laugh.

(And I'm also thankful for the two sweet potato pies I made yesterday, that look so yummy and I can't wait to eat them!) Blessings!

Note to the TTT Players: Well done, people! I can't believe almost all of you posted on the holiday! Excellent - gold stars around. Coming in 2006 - I'll have some theme TTT's on the first Thursday of the month. I'll list theme topics on the sidebar. I'm taking suggestions in the comments of this post.

Theme ideas I have so far: three favorite books (of course), three worst movies, three things about you three years ago, three things you'd like to recieve on Valentine's Day (for Feb), three favorite Easter memories (taking a cue from all of your Thanksgiving memories).

FYI, I can't be counted upon to do the themed TTT's. The only reason I play TTT at all is because there are no rigid requirements that I must hold to. Sorry, it's just the way I am. I might play along with some of them, but I might not. I understand that you may need to take me off of the official sidebar list. I'm ok with that.

:)

I'd NEVER take you off the sidebar!!! The themes would be suggestions only, not required at all. Just spicing things up a bit.

I'm pretty sure I'll like the themed TTT because sometimes I'm just stumped as to what to write. It'll be nice to have some direction and also the option to rebel and do my own thing. Can't rebel if there are no rules!!! ;-)
