Watch out - crazy lady with a stroller!

Question for you: If you are walking to school and you are pushing a stroller, and you see a young child heading straight for you so you pull to the far right and stop walking, and the child, walking with his mother who is not paying attention to the child and is talking with another mother, is still heading right for you so you call out "Excuse me!", and that kid runs right into you, is that kid's mom justified in any way to give you a nasty look?

Just wondering.

No. I think the appropriate response from said oblivious mother is "Oh, excuse US, I wasn't paying attention." To which you would kindly reply, "no problem"

I've been too loose lately with my "you don't get it" label for people. I have to watch that.

Since she wasn't watching she doesn't know that you pulled to the side to avoid hitting her son. So, she probably thought you were the careless one. Forget about arguing it with her.

I really have issues with people who let their kids just wander in crowds or even down the sidewalk. A 2 or 3 year old doesn't possess the ability to manuever themselves around oncoming people.

Ummmm... I think I have to agree and say no, she wasn't justified, but then, now often are we justified in our responses?

Sometime I'll have to tell you the story of the little 5 ft. woman who practically blasted my face off with her yelling at me in the bathroom of a movie theater. Completely unjustified!

Oh, don't worry, I was all nice and non-confrontational in public. I even apologized, though it was more like "Oh I'm sorry (that your kid ran into me)" Also, no damage was done. I should have mentioned that, huh? :)

I like to forgive people. Out loud. While they're in earshot.
