NO way!!!

Today there is a new Knitty (online magazine) up and they are reviewing a yarn called Supreme Possum Merino Yarn . I'm not kidding. It's made from (cringing) possum fur. NO NO NO way will I ever EVER knit with that. (I'm almost in a fetal position just thinking about who would wear a sweater made from possum fur???)

I gotta go . . . .

Completely disgusting, although I am a bit disappointed that there were no pictures. I just want to know what a sweater would look like knitted with possum fur. Can you imagine? Ew, ew, ew -- you get the ew award of the week!

Well, it's good to know that even a junkie has her bottom...or is it the whole "I'm not an addict! I would never knit possum fur. There's an addict!"

lol! Completely HYSTERICAL - okay, and disgusting. I could think of a lot of animals whose fur I wouldn't mind having a sweater out of, but sister, I'm with you on this one. I will never sport a possum cardigan. Gahhhh

Thank you for providing the link. I hope standard shipping arrives before June 17th.

oh anonymous, that is SO not funny! :) (I did see this yarn at a local yarn store, and I touched it. It's wonderfully soft. I can't get past the fact it's POSSUM fur, though. And it's expensive!!!)

Please, please, don't get this for me for my birthday!

Wait, wait, wait -- you touched it? I just want to know where they get it? Do they go along our country's beautiful highways scraping up possum carcasses and use the fur (washing it of road grime first, of course!). Do they shave them? Do they wait for them to die of natural causes? (which would be...?)

Dang it! Now I'm gonna have to do some research.
